Each year, the festival features one Jordanian film and the best of cinema from EU member states with official diplomatic representation in Jordan. The French delegation is thrilled to present "Bye Bye Tiberias", a poignant documentary directed by Lina Soualem.


This year’s French selection, "Bye Bye Tiberias," tells the compelling story of four generations of women. The film focuses on their intertwined legacies of separation and resilience. At its core is Hiam Abbass, a remarkable actress who left her Palestinian village to build a successful career in France. The documentary captures her emotional return home, accompanied by her daughter, offering a profound reflection on the ties that bind family across generations and geography.
