About the programme
Launched in 2024, Art à l’école aims to strengthen French language learning through an artistic and immersive approach.
By connecting classroom learning with activities led by professional artists, the programme helps students expand their vocabulary, develop their oral communication skills, and build confidence in using French.
Participating teachers also benefit from pedagogical support to integrate artistic practices into their French lessons.

Three artistic activities
The programme is structured around three disciplines adapted to different grade levels:
Grades 1–3
Storytelling
Discover French through stories and imagination.
Through a suitcase of around 20 French-language stories, students explore new vocabulary, develop their imagination, and enjoy learning French throughout a school semester.
Programme highlight
A special storytelling day is planned for May 2027, featuring French and Arabic tales in collaboration with storytellers from the Shoman Foundation.
Grades 4–6
Music
Discover French through singing and rhythm.
Guided by a choir conductor, students develop their pronunciation, expand their vocabulary, and enjoy singing French-language songs with support from an artist based in France.
Programme highlight
A final musical performance is planned for April 2027, giving students the opportunity to showcase their work as part of the Francophonie celebrations.
Grades 7–10
Theatre
Discover French through acting and expression.
Through short French-language plays, students develop their oral expression, build confidence, and explore their creativity while bringing stories to life on stage.
Programme highlight
A final theatrical performance is planned for April 2027, giving students the opportunity to showcase their work as part of the Francophonie celebrations.

The Institut français de Jordanie reserves the right to select participating schools according to the programme’s available opportunities.
