Institut français de Jordanie

Cultural bridge between France and Jordan since 1963

About us

The French Institute of Jordan (IFJ), Amman is the cultural operator of the French Embassy in Jordan. It is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom, at the top of Jabal Webdeh, ever since it was created in 1963.

Our Core Values

At the French Institute of Jordan, our foundation is built upon three fundamental pillars: liberty, creativity, and diversity.

These values define who we are and shape every aspect of our institution.

  • Liberty: We champion the freedom to explore, learn, and express oneself without constraints. This freedom fuels a dynamic and open environment where ideas flourish.

  • Creativity: Innovation and creativity are at the heart of our mission. We encourage a space where imagination thrives, fostering a vibrant cultural exchange that transcends boundaries.

  • Diversity: Embracing diversity is ingrained in our identity. We celebrate and cultivate an inclusive atmosphere, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds to create a mosaic of cultures within our community.

These values guide us in providing a unique and enriching experience for everyone connected to the French Institute of Jordan. We believe in the transformative power of liberty, creativity, and diversity, shaping a harmonious and dynamic cultural landscape.
